Yesterday (Monday, November 14th) marked the end of the second full week of NaNoWriMo 2016. Now, Week 1 was a pretty good week for me. I was right on track to finish on time with an average word count per day of 1,663 and a total for the week of 11,639.
Week 2 has not gone as swimmingly. My average per day has come down to 1,248 with my total weekly word count coming in at 5,842.
Both weeks combined gives me a grand total of 17,481 words, leaving me almost 6000 words behind the 23,338 I should be at if I was maintaining a good daily average.

The numbers speak for themselves and they are not saying nice things about me today. But, all hope is not lost! I have a few catch up days planned during which I will hopefully regain some ground. It ain’t over till it’s over, so don’t count me out yet. Check back in again next week on Tuesday the 22nd to see if I have been able to pull myself out of the hole or if I’m further in the red than ever before.
