Chicken Parmesan Sliders

I don’t know about you guys, but I love me a good hot sandwich, and these Chicken Parmesan Sliders definitely fit the bill. Plus sliders are all the rage these days, and it’s important to stay trendy with your food, am I right? All kidding aside, they are sooo yummy with all the sauce and chicken and melted cheese, and they are really easy to make.

I hope you give them a try, because you will NOT regret it. I usually serve them with homemade fries (if I have a little time) or with chips and a pickle (if I’m feeling rushed or lazy), but that is by no means an exhaustive list of potential sides. Pick whatever you want to go with them or eat them all by themselves, I just like giving advice.

Take an entire package of dinner rolls out of the packaging and slice it into two big sheets.

Place the bottom sheet in a 9×13 baking dish and lay half of your sliced mozzarella on it.

Next comes two shredded chicken breasts and some marinara sauce. On top of those two layers will go the remaining cheese, and then you’ll be ready to put the upper roll sheet back on top.

With all the layers in place, melt some butter and add in dried parsley and garlic powder.

Use a basting brush to ‘paint’ the butter mixture over the roll tops. This is my favorite part. I love painting stuff.

Sprinkle shredded parmesan over the butter and prepare to bake for about 18 minutes at 350F.

It’s done! Now the tops are golden brown, the chicken is steaming, and the cheese is melty.

See how melty? It’s ok if you are flat out slobbering right about now, but you should probably stop torturing yourself and go make these.

Chicken Parmesan Sliders

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Bake Time: 18-20 minutes
Serves 4

1 package pre-baked yeast rolls (12 count)
12 slices mozzarella cheese
2 chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
3/4 cup marinara sauce
1 Tbsp melted butter
1/8 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp dried parsley
1 Tbsp shredded parmesan

Preheat oven to 350F. Remove rolls from packaging, leaving them all connected together, and slice them in half so that you have two large sheets of roll, like you are going to make a huge sandwich. Place the bottom sheet of rolls into an uncreased 9x13baking dish and layer six slices of mozzarella over the rolls. On top of the cheese evenly distribute the shredded chicken, then spread the marinara sauce over that. Add the remaining six slices of mozzarella and replace the top half of the sliced rolls. Set aside.
Melt the butter in a small microwave safe bowl and mix in the garlic powder and parsley. Use a basting brush to paint the mixture over the top of the sliders until it’s all gone, then sprinkle the parmesan over top.
Place in the oven on the middle rack and bake for 18-20 minutes, until you can see that the cheese is melted and the tops are browned. Remove from the oven and allow them to cool for about 5 minutes before serving.
