What I’m Loving Lately – January 2017

It’s important to have good things to focus on – things that brighten your life and make your day a little easier or better. Here are a few of the things that I’ve been loving lately:

1. My new Fitbit Charge 2.
I’ve had a Fitbit for a while but I recently upgraded from the Zip to the Charge 2. Now I can track my heart rate, floors climbed, and get a map of my runs, participate in challenges against friends, and other cool features that I didn’t have before. It’s been motivating me to go harder and longer in my workouts – definitely a good thing! I am not an athlete. I need all the help I can get.

2. Instagram
A few weeks ago I created a Read. Eat. Repeat. Instagram account (username read_eat_repeat_ if you want to follow me!) and I have been having a lot of fun learning how to create posts that people want to see, as well as finding other people with similar interests to follow myself.

3. This quote:
“Not all readers are leaders, but all leaders are readers.”

Harry S. Truman

Reading is important, y’all.

4. My friend Shannon started a new blog recently called Living Simply For God. She writes with enthusiasm and shares openly and honestly about her life and Christian walk and I am really enjoying reading her thoughtful posts. She also has a couple of recipes I am excited to try!

5. Last week we tried the White Garlic Chicken Vegetable Pizza I mentioned I was excited about in this post, and it did not disappoint! This pizza crust recipe is the best I’ve ever tried and the white garlic sauce…words cannot describe. We didn’t do all the toppings, just a simple spinach and mushroom. Will definitely be making this again!

6. Also, today is National Kazoo Day. Click the link if you don’t believe me.
