What I’m Loving Lately – March 2017

It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these posts! There is tons of stuff I’m loving right now, but I decided to go with quality over quantity this time and just tell you about a few of my favorites:

Meal Prep Containers

Normally I’m not one for fads, but I’ve decided to give meal prepping a try. Here’s why: lunchtime always seems to sneak up on me. One minute I’m folding laundry and the next thing I know my baby birds are peeping with their mouths wide open, ready for lunch NOW.

So I start grabbing things out of the cabinet and end up eating too much or snacking on junk instead of sitting down to real food. The same problem seems to pop up at lunchtime nearly every day, and I’m hoping these will help me fix it since (theoretically) I will spend a few minutes making a stack of healthy lunches and then be able to pull them out on demand over the next several days. I bought these containers because they are microwave safe and I like the three separate compartments. And the lids are pretty.

Converse

A couple months ago I got my first pair of Converse, but I have only worn them a handful of times until very recently. It seems like kind of weird thing to say, but the weather we’ve been having is perfect for Converse – e.g. too warm for boots, too cool for sandals. Converse are a perfect in-between and I am happy to FINALLY be able to wear mine regularly after what seemed like an excessively long break-in period.

Spring Cleaning

We moved some things around, set up some big kid beds (twin sized, up from crib sized), and got rid of a whole lot of stuff. And it felt great. Hopefully all that stuff will have a happy second life in somebody else’s house while I enjoy my extra space.

And here is a link to the adorable quilts we got to put on their new beds, which happen to be on sale now that we have already purchased them.

Thriftbooks has an App

This could be a very good thing for me or a very bad thing for my bank account, depending on how you look at it. Now its just that much easier for me to shop for books and check on my reading rewards points.

Side note in my defense: based on the screenshot below, I’m shopping for my kids more than myself. Can you really put a price on early literacy? Check out Thriftbooks for yourself and see if you don’t get hooked too.

Those are the highlights of what I’m loving lately. I hope you loved this post and I would love to hear what you are loving, as well!

Lots of love,

Jordan
