A variety, as always, ranging from mystery to historical fiction to spiritual to contemporary fiction. And thanks to Modern Mrs. Darcy for the link-up!

Living Beyond Yourself
Beth Moore

Still plugging away at this one. You can read my thoughts on it from last month here. At the rate I’m going it will probably be July before I’m done, no joke. I do feel like I’m learning from the lessons though.

And Then There Were None
Agatha Christie

I’m about two thirds of the way through and I still don’t have a solid guess about who the killer is. I love that I can’t figure it out! It’s no wonder this is a perennial favorite among mystery readers.

For Love and Honor
Jody Hedlund

It’s too early for me to form a solid opinion on this one, but I like the cover, it’s my favorite genre, and I have enjoyed all the Jody Hedlund books I’ve read in the past so I have high hopes.

Dark Matter
Blake Crouch

Again, too early to make a judgement. It’s written in the first person with the narrator looking back on a story that has already taken place, and there is a major foreshadowing that something big and terrible is about to happen which he did not expect. I like this quote: “And maybe that’s what makes tragedy so tragic. Not just what happens, but how it happens; a sucker punch that comes at you out of nowhere, when you’re least expecting it. No time to flinch or brace.” We will see if it can keep up the momentum that is building in the first few pages…
