I have a love/hate relationship with cake decorating. Making cakes for my family is fun – I pretty much have creative license to go wherever the muse takes me. Making cakes for others stresses me out because I worry the whole time I’m making it that they won’t like it. So far that has never happened, but somehow that doesn’t stop me from stressing out on the next one. Despite all that internal craziness, I loved the way this Avengers cake turned out.
It was composed of three 10 inch layers of yellow cake with buttercream icing. The buildings, black triangles on top, and the red stripes and circles were cut from fondant, and all the rest is icing.
Such a fun birthday cake!
