Savory Seasoned Baked Fries

Savory Seasoned Baked Fries

Looking to mix up your potato game? Look no further than these savory seasoned baked fries. These babies are simple to prepare and baked in the oven instead of fried, so healthier and less greasy than traditional french fries.

Savory Seasoned Baked Fries

This is my own personally concocted mix of herbs and seasonings that I have been using successfully for years. The cool thing about it is that you can mix it up in bulk and just dip out what you need when you need it instead of measuring out of five different bottles every time.

These are so yummy and go perfectly with burgers and sandwiches. They don’t need any kind of dipping sauce, but I like to enhance them on occasion with a little honey mustard or the sour cream ranch dip that is pictured in this post. The ranch dip is simple to make: stir together 1/4 cup sour cream and 1 tsp dry ranch mix and start dipping! I’ve never tried to make my own honey mustard. Is it literally just honey mixed with mustard or is there some extra special ingredient? I need to know so I can make some to go with my Savory Seasoned Baked Fries.

Gold star if you can answer that question for me. #questionoftheday

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Bake Time: 20-25 minutes
Serves 3-4

3-4 medium potatoes, sliced
1 Tbsp olive oil
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
3/4 tsp dried parsley

Preheat oven to 425ºF and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Wash and slice the potatoes into thin slices and place in a medium sized bowl. Add the olive oil and seasonings and toss to coat. Spray the aluminum lined pan with cooking spray and spread the seasoned potatoes out into one even layer. It doesn’t have to be perfect, but try not to let them pile up anywhere. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until potatoes are cooked through. Bake time will depend on how thick your fries are and how crispy you prefer them. Remove from oven and serve hot with dipping sauce of choice.

  1. These look fantastic! I usually only make sweet potatoes fries. I think I might try these later this week instead of doing regular baked potatoes 🙂

  2. Wow, those fries look absolutely amazing! I totally gotta make these at home in the future haha
