Steamed sugar snap peas are one of my all time favorite veggies. They feel like such a treat to me that I really look forward to them, even though there’s no logical reason why that should be the case. They aren’t scarce or particularly decadent, and yet I crave them like all get out. Weird? Probably. But I don’t care because they are THE BEST combination of healthy and tasty. Can’t help eating the whole bag? More power to you. No need to exercise self control in this instance! Go ahead and treat yo’self.

Also in this recipe I’m going to share with you one of my all time favorite cooking tools ever in the whole wide world. It is the Pampered Chef Vegetable Steamer. I use this thing all. the. time. Just add your veggies and a little water and pop it in the microwave. Two to five minutes later you have perfectly steamed vegetables that you can season and serve. I seriously can’t rave about it enough. Buy one for yourself, your mom, your sister and your friend and never feel an ounce of regret (Pampered Chef is not paying me for that glowing recommendation, I just really love their steamer that much).
So to recap:
- Immediately order a Pampered Chef Vegetable Steamer.
- Plan to make these lightly seasoned Steamed Italian Sugar Snap Peas as soon as it arrives.
Also, my two favorite recipes to make these with are Salsa Chicken and Mushroom Smothered Chicken, but they make a great side dish for a whole lot of meals. We also eat them with steak, other chicken dishes, and occasionally just by themselves for a snack!

Steaming is my favorite way to cook veggies. I don’t like some of them raw, so this is my solution.
