What I’m Loving Lately – November 2017

With Thanksgiving behind us, my family is headed at full speed into the Christmas season and I’m not even a little sad. The tree is up, the stockings are hung, and my 4 year is full of suggestions for Christmas activities, the most urgent of which seems to be Christmas cookies. She is my daughter, for sure. Since my favorite holiday is forefront in my mind right now, I’ll let it be first on the list of things I’m loving lately:

Christmas!
Do you guys have a Christmas bucket list? Here’s a look at mine for this year:

  • Make hot chocolate
  • Decorate Christmas cookies
  • Read our favorite Christmas books
  • Make gingerbread
  • Dance to Christmas music
  • Make a paper countdown chain
  • Cut out paper snowflakes
  • Watch Frosty the Snowman

We’ve already checked the dancing one off the list as of this morning, but I think we can probably work that one in again. And maybe again.

And just for fun, the picture in this ‘Our First Christmas’ ornament shows you what my husband and I looked like as little baby nineteen year old newlyweds in 2009.

Food City
There’s a new grocery store in my town! And it’s only 5 minutes from my house! I’ve been trying out all their fancy features like the Starbucks and the curbside grocery service. Verdict: positive experiences all around. So while I do see benefits to the selection of goods that Walmart provides, I am very glad to now have another store that can compete with it on price and absolutely whoop it in the service department.

Pinterest
I’m upping my Pinterest game, and it’s about stinking time. I converted to a business account and enabled rich pins, and I am loving the analytics that are available to me now! It’s going to be a game changer, I can already tell. Now I just have to solidify a real Pinterest strategy…any tips for me?

What If – Kane Brown
I haven’t listened to the radio much in the last few years, but recently my 2 year has developed an affinity for it. As soon as we get in the car she asks for me to turn the radio on and usually I oblige. This has resulted in the song ‘What If’ being permanently welded into my brain. Go listen to it so I won’t be the only one. And if that doesn’t do it for you, listen to ‘You’re Welcome’ from Moana. These days if I’m not singing ‘What If’ I’m probably singing ‘You’re Welcome’.

What are YOU loving lately? I want to know!
