Hi friends! Can you believe July is almost over? I know I sound cliche, but my goodness, time is flying by. It’s so easy to get bogged down in day to day life and then look up one day and realize that another month or season or year has passed. That’s why this is one of my favorite posts to write every month, because I love that it makes me pay attention to the things that are going right and making life better, and that intentionality helps slow things down a little.
I have four awesome things that I’ve bee loving lately to share with you today. I hope you’ll share some things that are making your life better too so the rest of us can check them out and spread the awesome!

Homemade Caramel Coffee Syrup
You guuuuuuuys…this stuff is awesome. It’s so easy to make, and it stirs into your coffee so smoothly. I have plans to keep a jar of it in my fridge pretty much for the rest of my life. Check out the recipe here and try it for yourself!
Wilton Pizza Rocker
Never heard of a pizza rocker? Me either, until my mom gave me one for my birthday a few months ago. I love it because I am big time OCD about my nonstick pans, and this rocker is safe to use on nonstick surfaces. It cuts right through pizza or bread without scratching my precious nonstick baking sheets and saves me the trouble of moving the pizza to plate or cutting board before slicing. Life changing, for real.
Getting up at the first alarm
A long time ago I read somewhere that hitting the snooze button or setting multiple alarms in the morning feels good in the moment but is actually detrimental to your sleep habits and productivity. I put my head in the sand and did not immediately act on this new information, but recently I decided that the only way I was going to be able to continue to have time for all the things I love is to cut out that wasted snooze time in the mornings. The new me sets one alarm and gets straight up out of bed when it goes off. The time that works best for me during the week is 5:20 am, and getting up promptly at that time has allowed me to be less rushed through my devotional time, start formulating a new exercise routine, and do so much extra reading. I’m really loving it!
Luther
With all the life changes that have come our way in the past year or so, it’s been a minute since my husband and I have been able to choose a tv show to watch together. About a month ago we started watching the show Luther on Netflix and I’m giving it a 3 out of 5 stars for the following reasons: the first two seasons were really good, with amazing cliffhanger endings to the episodes that made you want to push play on the next one, and I really enjoyed having a show that we both liked again. Unfortunately, the final two seasons were a bit too creepy for my taste, my favorite character died, and the series finale was a let down. Why is it on my loving lately list with such a meager star rating? Well, because it started strong and was fun while it lasted. I’m now open to other suggestions for more shows that we could watch together on Netflix. Other shows we’ve both loved include House, Numb3rs, and Lie to Me. Somebody please help me out with ideas!
Thanks so much for featuring our caramel coffee syrup! I agree, there is a jar in my fridge at all times too! Best thing is, you can use as little or as much as you need to make your coffee perfect for you!
You’re so welcome, it’s a deserving recipe!
I need to try that coffee syrup recipe. This month I’ve been loving Jennifer L Armentrout, she’s a writer, I’ve gone throught 13 (!!) of her books. You know when you find someone that speaks to you?
I love finding books like that!

You don’t have to wait till fall, I’ve been drinking it in my iced coffee!
I am seriously trying better about hitting that snooze button. I totally love being able to get up before my kids if I can.
Getting up before the kids is a real happiness booster.
