It seems like the whole world is obsessed with all things Nutella and I’m not judging anyone at all, because I love Nutella too! As the weather is warming up I have been getting into a summer time frame of mind for everything from wardrobe to menus, and a good iced coffee is on the top of my list for things to enjoy when it’s hot. This Nutella Iced Coffee recipe is perfect for summer, so easy, and full of all my favorite flavors.
Now, just to be clear here, this is not a sponsored post for the Nutella brand. When I use that term what I mean is any product that is classified as a ‘chocolate hazelnut spread’ type of thing. So feel free to do as I do and buy the grocery store brand in the name of frugality. I promise it will taste just as good.
Other cold drinks to enjoy:
Mocha Frosted Coffee
Strawberry Lemonade Slush
Also, if spring is reluctant in your part of the world and you aren’t ready for cold drinks yet, I have good news. I thoroughly tested this recipe and Nutella iced coffee is just as good warmed up without the ice. So whatever kind of coffee mood you are in, this recipe is still relevant.
Next order of business: my best iced coffee tip that applies to all iced coffees, not just Nutella iced coffee. Are you ready for it? Use coffee ice cubes instead of regular ice.
This is such a simple thing but it makes a huge difference when you’re sipping your Nutella iced coffee and the ice begins to incorporate into the drink, because your coffee actually gets stronger instead of watered down. Earth-shaking, right? I don’t know why it took me so long to think of this and why more people don’t do it. Whenever you have a little leftover coffee, just pour it into an ice tray instead of down the drain and keep a little bag of frozen caffeinated delight in your freezer for whenever the notion for iced coffee strikes you. You’re welcome.
- 3/4 cup coffee, brewed and cooled
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 heaping tbsp nutella
- 1 tbsp sugar
- Whipped cream & chocolate syrup topping optional
-
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour over ice and top with whipped cream and chocolate syrup or melted nutella if desired.
#1 Iced Coffee Tip: Use coffee ice cubes instead of regular ones so that your coffee doesn’t get watered down as you drink it.
I am not a coffee drinker, but my daughter loves it and I’m sending her your recipe.
Thanks! Hopefully she’ll enjoy it.
I’m not sure there is anything else in this world that could make me THIS happy.
That’s what I thought the first time I tried it 😉
This looks delicious and so easy to make! My husband drinks coffee so I will show this to him.
Thanks! I hope he gets a chance to try it.
Would love this right now!
I’d like one right now too!
I’m sitting over here drooling at the mere site of this drink. You seriously had me at Nutella, no joke.
Nutella addiction is a real thing, trust me, lol.
