My first introduction to Bob Goff was a podcast interview I heard a few months ago. I was instantly intrigued by his positive and unique approach to life, relationships, and ambitions, so when I got the opportunity to review his newest book Dream Big I didn’t hesitate to say yes.

I loved this book. The chapters are short and manageable, giving you time to absorb a concept before moving on to the next point. I was challenged and inspired by the questions he asks and the encouragement he gives to his readers. I was also endlessly entertained by the stories he shared — the man has lived a very interesting life!

Another thing I found helpful is the framework sections the end filled with “Reflection Questions and Action Items” for the chapters. This is basically a summary of the main points and suggestions for each section and is a great refresher to reference as you try to apply some of his principles to your life. I think this is a book that I will revisit often, and after doing some of the suggested activities I feel like I have a better understanding of some of the obstacles holding me back from my top ambition, and feel motivated to take some steps forward towards achieving it.

I’ll leave you with this quote from Dream Big as example of Bob’s personality and wisdom:

What we do isn’t who we are. Writing a book doesn’t make me an author. It doesn’t even mean I’m a guy who can spell. It simply means I’m a guy who tried.

  1. I’m always looking for ways to expand my home library – I love reading! I definitely have to check this title out because it’s up my alley.

  2. I’m reading this one right now and I feel like I got it at the best time in my life. Hilariously, I also wrote the SAME quote for my review!! Haha! I picked it because I’m writing my own book and I’m struggling with it and it just seemed to jump out at me from the page. Thank you for being on this tour! Sara @ TLC Book Tours
