I wrote another book! The last two years spent writing sweet, clean romantic comedies has been so fun, and I’m pleased and proud to be releasing my seventh book, Evangeline Wilder Is Still Single!
This book is the second in the Marriage on My Mind series, a set of stories surrounding three friends and their marriage-adjacent jobs and challenges. Each book is a standalone, but they all share a few characters who you’ll recognize and enjoy seeing again from book to book.
This one is a small-town, second-chance romance with an engagement of convenience between Evangeline and Jackson, who had crushes on each other in high school and run into each other when they both return to their hometown of Maple Mountain. It’s available in ebook, paperback, and in Kindle Unlimited. Read the full description below!
When I returned to Maple Mountain, I never expected my high school crush to—literally—run into me.
Jackson Callahan is still just as smart and dashingly handsome as I remember, and it only takes about thirty seconds for my crush to come roaring back to life. When he asks me out, it’s an easy yes.
To my delight, our friendship picks up right where it left off, except with a healthy dose of grown-up chemistry that wasn’t there before. Being around Jackson lights me up in all the ways, and I can’t seem to stop myself from picturing a future with him only days into our new relationship.
Plus, it’s nice to have a distraction from our respective career woes. The joy of my dream job as a marriage and family counselor has been dimming lately in the face of the constant pushback I get from clients when they learn I’m single.
And Jackson’s parents aren’t convinced that he’ll stick around long enough to justify giving him a place in the family company, so they issue an ultimatum: start in an entry-level position and prove that he’s serious about staying in Maple Mountain long-term.
Which leads to a crazy idea…
What says commitment more than marrying a hometown girl? A girl like…me.
And tying the knot would go a long way toward building credibility in the eyes of my clients.
It sounds like getting married to a guy I already really like would be a win for both of us.
