Best of 2017

A lot of people have been coming down on 2017 here lately. I’m not sure if they are feeling that way from a global or personal perspective, but I have to stick up for ’17 for a minute and say that for me personally, it was a great year.

My family was healthy; both my kids are now potty trained; we took a family vacation for the first time in a while; my husband got a new (better) job; I finished 79 books; and this blog has grown and improved tremendously. I have a lot to be grateful for!

So it seemed appropriate in these last days of 2017 to put together a little ‘Best Of’ list to commemorate the year.

2018 Reading Challenge

It has been an excellent year, and I’m hoping for a good 2018 as well. You may be seeing a little less of me this year, because I am planning to scale back on posts for a while to accommodate some changes in my personal life. But I love blogging, recipe development, and book talk gigantically so I’ll still be posting as much as I can!

I have several recipes planned for the next few months that I’m excited to share, a full line-up of great books to review, and I’m most excited about the 2018 Reading Challenge! I’ll be headed to the bookstore tomorrow to choose a book by it’s cover and I’ll let you know what I chose on January 3rd!

How was your 2017? Are you looking forward to big things in 2018?
