Steep the tea in the hot water for about ten minutes, then remove the bags and stir in the sugar while still warm to help it dissolve. Stir in the tablespoon of cream and chill for at least 30 minutes.
Make the pumpkin cream by combining the pumpkin, cream, sugar, vanilla, and spices. I do this by placing them all in a small jar with a lid and shaking until the mixture is well-combined and starting to thicken, about two minutes.
Assemble the drink by pouring the chai tea mixture over ice and adding the pumpkin cream on top. Enjoy immediately.
