Simple Dishes You Can Put Together in 10 Minutes

If you want to spend less time in the kitchen, but you still want to get the impact of the good, healthy food you’ve always needed, then it’s time to learn how to make some 10 minute meals. After all, food can be prepared in a variety of ways, and you don’t need hours of time to put some good food together. You certainly don’t have to get overly hot or an aching back out of it either! So, here are some ideas for 10 minute meals you might want to incorporate into your meal plan.

Plenty of Pasta

Pasta is carb heavy, of course, but that doesn’t mean it’s bad for you. When throwing pasta into a dish, you’re giving it a real advantage in the energy department, and if you’re feeling low or you’ve got a long day tomorrow, a good pasta dish the night before is essential. 

Most types of pasta are going to cook within 9-10 minutes, so that’s the bulk of the work out of the way! While it’s cooking grate some cheese, pull out some tuna, or even to just whip up a packet of sauce you have hidden in the cupboard. Pasta really is filling and easy! 

Simply Salads

Salads can be incredibly filling when you throw the right ingredients into them! Because sure, a bit of lettuce and half a cucumber isn’t going to take you far, but something as tasty as a greek salad could really settle you down for an afternoon. 

Don’t be afraid to lean into salads; they’re healthy, packed with vitamins and minerals, and you can always add and take away as you like. Because of this, they don’t take long to put together, and you’ll definitely be feeling satisfied with the flavor when you can drizzle a bit of dressing on top too. Try some raspberry or other fruit based vinegars – they can even be made to be sugar free!

And salads don’t have to include lettuce – this tomato salad is green-free and will knock your socks off!

Cheese Goes with Everything

And speaking of cheese, it really does go with everything! If you’ve ever got a dish that’s missing a little something, and you’ve already thrown in a bit of salt and pepper to taste, why not try a bit of cheese on top as well? Simply grating a little bit of it could complete the taste profile you’re looking for, and it’s rare to find a person who doesn’t like a bit of cheese. 

Pastas, breads, and salad all benefit from a bit of cheese, and you can benefit from the hit of protein the average cheese slice could give you, and if you’re missing a bit of healthy, unprocessed fat from your diet, this is a great way to top up. 

If you’re looking to make cooking easier, aim for those 10 minute marks in your meals. Putting something filling together doesn’t need to take hours, and there’s plenty of ingredients readily available for you to make use of.
